Our story
What is Bodhi But Hungry?
Bodhi But Hungry is a breakfast cafe in Williamsburg that celebrates the playful tension between mindfulness and appetite. Between being fully awake and still craving something warm and delicious.
Rooted in the Sanskrit word “Bodhi”, meaning awakened, our name nods to clarity, presence, and that blissful feeling after yoga and meditation. “But Hungry” grounds us in the human, earthy side. Together, the name embodies the balance we all live in: the spiritual and the physical, the elevated and the everyday.

Community & practice
Born next to Yoga Space
Some of our favorite moments happen after practice. The body is open. The mind is quiet. And there’s usually a little more time for a coffee and a conversation.
This cafe grew alongside Yoga Space, with the same idea at heart: a place to slow down, connect, and feel at home.
Come as you are. From the mat or from the street — everyone is welcome.
And for our Yoga Space community, there’s always a little something special waiting for you. 🤍
